Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions are designed to protect both you as the customer and me as the supplier.

The process of ordering.

When you click the buy button next to an item it is automatically added to your shopping cart selection and you are prompted to enter any additional information such as ring size or metal choice.

On completing your browsing click the shopping cart button and you will be taken to the shopping cart at which point you can add, remove or edit items before checking out. At this point you will be asked to enter your credit card and delivery details before submitting your order.

All your payment information is entered on a secure server and a third party secure payment company (paypal) verifies the data and the credit status of the card before accepting or declining payment. At no point do I see your card details and only receive your delivery address and details of the order.

On completing and submitting your order you will receive confirmation by email and I will begin to process the order.

Non credit card orders

I appreciate that some people are not happy to use credit cards on the Internet or over the phone. If this is the case and you live in the UK I suggest that you can use the shopping cart as normal but before you check out, print the cart from your browser and send it to me with a cheque. Don’t forget to add the shipping charge for the items purchased. I will then dispatch your order once I have received and verified payment. Don’t forget to note ring size and stone choice where appropriate. I regret that I cannot handle foreign currencies other than through our regular credit card payment system.

Delivery times

All the work on this site is made by hand and many of the pieces, such as rings, will be made specifically for you once your order has been placed. Due to this I cannot offer next day dispatch. I will endevour to dispatch your goods within 14 days and I will contact you if this is not possible and give you the option of accepting the new delivery date or cancelling the order and receiving a direct refund.

Means of delivery

Delivery in the British Isles will be by registered post with insurance to the appropriate value. This service guarantees next working day delivery. Outside the British Isles delivery will be via the most appropriate and secure service we can find for your country.

Shipping costs

You will see the shipping charge calculated as part of your order. I try to keep these charges to a minimum, but where possible I use insured services to protect your goods in transit and ensure they arrive promptly and in good condition.

Import & local taxes

You will be responsible for the payment of all import and other local taxes applicable in respect of any item(s) which you purchase from Daniel Musselwhite Jewellery.

Your order

In placing an order by post or through this site you are making an offer to us to purchase the item(s) you have specified and I must reserve my right to refuse to accept your offer should I consider it to be necessary, e.g. where there is doubt as to the bona fide nature of payment or if goods are out of stock and cannot be supplied within the time frame you require. I will of course inform you if there is a problem with your means of payment or if I cannot meet normal delivery times and I will then give you the option of cancelling the order or agreeing on other arrangements. As a general rule I will not dispatch your order until we’ve received confirmation of payment.

Returns

You have the right to return goods if you are not entirely satisfied with them or they do not fit, provided:

1 The goods are returned within 14 days of receipt.

2. They reach me in perfect condition in the original packaging. You are responsible for ensuring the means of delivery is adequate, that is the items are insured against loss or damage and that proof of receipt is provided. In the UK royal mails special deliver provides all these aspects but you must make sure that you choose the appropriate level of compensation with regard to the value of the goods enclosed. Please remember that I am unable to refund or exchange items which have been damaged after you have received them.
